The universal bit combines poll pressure and leverage, for a mild gag action. The loose brass alloy discs in the centre can help to soothe a fussy tongued horse.

Blue sweet iron mouthpieces oxidise easily to create warmth with a sweet taste which helps with bit acceptance and encourages salivation. Please note the blue colour will fade with use. The addition of brass alloy inserts produces a warm, more palatable bit. Stainless steel is used for the cheeks due to it being durable, easy to clean and resistance to rust.

To promote good hygiene and protect the longevity of your horse bit we recommend the following care regimen after every use.

  1.  Rinse your bit after every use under a tap to remove any saliva or debris on the surface.
  2.  Use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe any excess debris off of the bit, paying particular attention to joins and hinges.
  3.  Leave to dry naturally.
